07.12.2009 ರಂದು, ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ ನಗರದ ಪರಿವೀಕ್ಷಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ಡಾ||ರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ
ನೀಡಿದರು. ತದನಂತರ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿರವರ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ, ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ ನಗರಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ
ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ, ಕೆ.ಯು.ಡಬ್ಲ್ಯು.ಎಸ್.ಡಿ.ಬಿ. ಮತ್ತು ಕೆ.ಯು.ಐ.ಡಿ.ಎಫ್.ಸಿ.ಗೆ
ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪರಿಶೀಲನಾ ಸಭೆ ಜರುಗಿಸಿದರು.

ನಗರ ಶಾಸಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಹಾಲು ಒಕ್ಕೂಟದ
ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಜಿ.ಸೋಮಶೇಖರರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಯವರು ಮಹಾನಗರಪಾಲಿಕೆಗೆ ಎರಡು ಕಸ ಎತ್ತುವ ಆಟೋ
ಟಿಪ್ಪರ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವಭಾರತಿ ಕಲಾನಿಕೇತನ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರೂ.4.30 ಲಕ್ಷ
ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗೆ ದಾನವಾಗಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ
ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಸ ಎತ್ತಲು ಚಿಕ್ಕ-ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಸಂದುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಆಟೋ ಕಸ ಎತ್ತಲು
ಸುಲಭವಾತಿರುತ್ತದೆಂದು ಹಾಗೂ ಸುಮಾರು 500 ಕೆ.ಜಿ. ಕಸವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲು
ಅನುಕೂಲವಾತಿರುತ್ತದೆಂದು ಒಂದು ಲೀಟರ್ ಗೆ 36 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ಚಲಿಸುತ್ತದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

eGovernance project. On Aug 15th 2005 each of the 57 cities will get a
comprehensive website as well as the Public Grievance &
Redressal module. Other important modules to be launched are Property
Tax, Financial Accounting GIS Mapping, Birth & Death
Certification, and Ward Works. Nirmala Nagara project is a partnership
between the Urban Development Dept,
eGovernments Foundation & Survey of India. These computer
based systems coupled with Govt. process re-engineering and GIS digital
mapping will provide transparency and accountability and smoother

 Bellary takes its name from the
word Balari which
refers to goddess Durugamma as this goddess had manifested herself in
the town. Bellary city with a population of about 3.17 Lakhs as per
2001 census, is the 7th largest city in Karnataka State. With the
commencement of construction of several steel plants in the district,
the city promises to be "The
Jamshedpur
of Karnataka"
in the 21st Century. The city was ruled by several well known dynasties
such as the Sathavahanas, Kadamabas, Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, Gangas,
Chalukyas of Kalyana, KalaChuryas & Hoysalas and thereafter it
became the territory of Vijaynagar rulers.

The city also has significant
small-scale industrial activity and is one of the major centres of
Jeans manufacturing in the country, and it is the second largest city
in Asia in manufacturing ready-made garments. The city is well
connected by road and train which is just 305 KM from the capital city
of Karnataka i.e. Bangalore.
